Playing Basketball for the Lara Giants
At the beginnning of every term we get a lot of enquiries about playing basketball. Basketball is an all year round sport, which is broken up into 2 seasons. A winter season that goes for terms 2 & terms 3 & a summer season that starts with term 4 & resumes after the holidays in term 1.
The Lara Giants is one of the biggest clubs in Geelong, with teams in all age groups & most divisions. The advantage with this is that we are able to help ensure the kids are placed in a division that best suits there ability, experience & confidence.
With our summer season quickly approaching we are about to hit our busiest time of the year with our numbers exploding. Registrations will open August (details to be confirmed). If you have a child who is under 12 & never played before & would like to try something before playing it might be worth considering Little Giants (a great 8 week basketball program to introduce the rules & basic concepts.
