Important information for all those intending to play this upcoming season. Basketball Victoria has introduced a new system for paying all your fees in one place. No more confussion about if you have to pay Geelong fees or Lara Fees or both.
The new system is called PlayHQ & it will replace sporting pulse/ SportsTG starting this winter. However, like previous years you will not be able to take the court until all your fees are paid up. This is important to ensure you are covered by the right insurances should something happen. In fact we cannot allocate any player to a team until you are a paid up member.
One of the changes coming in is Geelong United Basketball is aligning with the clubs & going season by season, meaning those who play single seasons will be better off. One of the set backs with the new system is the change over from the old system which means if you paid your Geelong & Victoria Fees in October last year you will by default be asked to pay them again. However, Geelong United will be sending you a coupon code to use to wipe out this portion of the fee so you don’t have to pay it twice
The system is brand new & being written for basketball, however it is still a work in progress & not all features are ready. One example affects families where we can only give a set percentage discount, meaning 3rd & 4th children do not get the same rate we offer now. If you contact us we will help sort this out as well with another code.
So expect an email in the coming days saying you need to register & if your registration is not due you will get a coupon code from GUB. As always, we are here to help you so any questions feel free to contact us an [email protected]
